Eye candy - cuties!
Pls DO NOT be confused - Yes, there is another boy in Kimi's class that has the almost same hair-style as Kimi. Cute little Jared who is half-Japanese. To differentiate? Look out for the golden brown hair and fairer complexion

Bento #26 - Kimi
Got up feeling not too good this morning so decided to make a really simple and fast bento. Just fruits and Kimi's name in cheese cut-out.
From Cot To Bed
This is a back-dated post. We decided to convert Kimi's (on 26/2/09) cot to bed cos he has been climbing in and out of it and it was just too dangerous as the cot has wheels. So, finally, we decided to just do it, hoping that Kimi will like his new bed.
And, he LOVES it! That night, Kimi asked to sleep on his own in his 'new' bed and have been doing so, tugging his bible, Mickey and cloth tightly under his arms and surrounding himself with all his favourite things! My baby is a big boy now!

Previously, I have blogged about how Kimi sleeps on his own, he can and will do so but I just so enjoy carrying him and letting him fall asleep in my arms that I have abandoned that. :O
Kimi has also been most obliging and never refuses. But, this time, with his new bed, he refuses and insists on sleeping on his own in his bed. Kimi will constantly say, "Kimi sleep bed". Ok, ok, mummy gets the drift .... night night & rest well darling!

I Miss You!
Today, Charmaine and I continued with our girl's day out after lunch as hb made his way home. We stayed till almost dinner time so hb picked Kimi and fed him dinner.
According to hb, he was asking for me in school, in the car and upon reaching home, ran into the bedroom to look for me, calling out "ma-ma, ma-ma". So, hb told him that I was taking the train home and he settled down after that.
When I reached home, he gave me this beaming big smile and called out "ma-ma"! My heart almost burst out with happiness. After throwing my shopping bags on the dining table, I made my way quickly to the loo and Kimi ran looking for me after 2 mins and gave me a big hug and said, "I miss you!" I was stunned beyond words. Not just by his vocab but also by his swwetness! My heart felt sooo warm literally. This is the best day for me in months, years? Thank you, Lord! And I know Lord, You have more good things planned for us in the coming future!
Bento #25 - Froggies Symphony
Pandan Chiffon cake cut into froggy shapes and decorated with cheese & nori, mangosteen & kiwi berries (sweet!)Kimi was asking for the Pandan Chiffon cake even after dinner last night at "Lao-yee's" (hb's aunty) place.
So, I decided to buy that for him for breakfast instead. Took the opportunity of playing with the green colour to give him a 'brood' of frogs. He squealed with delight this morning when he saw me snapping the pix for this bento.
p/s - I used a bear shaped mould to cut out this froggy and then a bubble tea straw for its eyes, followed by different nori shapes for eyes.
Some readers have asked if I could also show the tools I've used for each bento. Alright, I will try cos definitely no time in the mornings to snap. Will try ya? :)

PJ Night - Milk & Cookies By Act 3
It was a pyjamas night by Act 3. Kids go in their PJs hugging teddy bears and lugging blankets and all. It was a cute concecpt but REALLY did not like the idea of moving from 1 location to another. All in all, we moved 4 times!
Guess it was to keep the kids' attention in tact and to make it 'different'. But, we have kids that are 2 and I'd rather stay in the same place or at least just move once.
Despite moving like gypsies, to keep the spirit and excitement high, the play itself was 'passable' only. In fact, I was rather disappointed. The last area was by the lawn where packets of milk and cookies were given out to the kids!

Splash Park
The Splash Park at the newly renovated Sembawang Shopping Centre has just opened and I asked Serene to join us for some splashing fun!
It was also a good excuse for us to check out any new stuff at Daiso.
The kids had so much fun in just 30-40mins and we will definitely go there again.
See my little man? So unhappy and impatient when I asked him to wait for Estelle. He also refused to wear his top.
The second I say, "ok, let's go!" Kimi was there in a shot! Look at how excited and happy he was!
I love this buckets - once they are full, they fall on you full-load, so fun! But Kimi is terrified of them and I don't know why ...

The Splash Park is open everyday as it is just next to a playground.
But waterplay is only available Mon-Fri, 12-2pm and 6-8pm, Sat/Sun & PH is on from 11-2pm and 5-8pm.

Picnic Fun
We had so much fun today! Everyone agreed how wonderful it was to be having our dinners in an open field and just being so near to nature!
I arrived early, at 5.15pm and darn, the sun was still so high & hot and no flying planes in sight! How? Shall we go to another spot? We decided to just deck it out here. Then soon, 1 flyer came and we found a shady spot. And then, it became nice & windy but was also threatening to rain.
I quickly asked Kimi to pray to the Lord to let us have a nice picnic time and to hold the rain. Praise The Lord!
Hey, even the very-difficult-to-invite Aunty Sharon joined us a a little while. Kimi and Estelle had such good time that Estelle didn't want to go home in Mummy Serene's car! Haha!
We will definitely have another picnic soon!
Our dinner all packed nicely
Tada! Our simple fried rice dinner. Kimi had cherry apples and chiku for dessert. I love these cherry apples cos they are so sweet and crispy but mostly cos it is so small in size that is PERFECT for little hands and appetite!

Dino chicken nuggets, tomato ketchup in container, steamed corn and edamame beans
Saw these Dinosaur chicken nuggets and wanted to try them out. Such finger foods are good for me on Fridays where I need to rush, rush.
p/s : the nuggets tasted average only. I don't think I'll buy again when those 2 boxes finishes.

Bento #23 - Crab
Banana slices, Cheese pancake with cheese/ham/crabstick cute details, crab's claws are made with apple sticks cut at the end with a 'V' shape, strawberries & colourful cheddar goldfish crackers. Can u spot its apple claws? Most of the bentos I make centres on foods that Kimi likes. This tokiwado cheese pancake is one of his favourite (at the moment).
Saw this idea of using a pancake to make a crab in one of the blogs I was blog-hopping around sometime back but can't remember which now. Hence, I can't link back to the creator. Anyone sees or knows, please let me know so I can credit her.
I think I was a little over-zealous with the lettuce/food placement (or place wrong place) that the crab's claws are hidden and it didn't really look like a crab? Look closely, and you will find our little friend! :)
Just for the fun of it! Cross-eyed crab! Haha!

Rock On Kimi!
Kimi rocking with 500! Don't know what happened that the video is upside down! Sorry! :(

New Bento Tools!
Sorry folks, am uploading my new bento loot from HKG rather than the holiday shots. Will do that soon.
Anyhow, very happy I got most of the things I ordered EXCEPT the 2 most important ones which are the wheel cutters!!! Eeew! Never mind, hope I can get my hands on them soon!
I don't know if my collection is considered alot - cos they are some bento-ing mummies who have more than me! I should like to think I have a decent collection,
And, yes, I will try to collate and showcase my collection when I have more time to do that since quite a number of readers have been asking for it.
3 lunch boxes I have been wanting to get - Shinkansen, Tomica and my personal favourite - MyMelody! Of cos, I don't care lah, some days just use it for Kimi, keke!
Clockwise fr left - Tomica bread cutter & imprint, 4-in-1 cookie/bread cutter with imprint that is in the shape of bus, ship, airplane & car (love this set!), fish & car egg mould (have been waiting for so long to get this!), Tomica vegetable cutter/imprint

Mini blueberry & strawberry tart with cheese details and seaweed cut-out, flower-shaped papaya, banana & blueberriesWas supposed to bring Kimi for his follow-up appointment so had not intend to make any bento but let him eat in the tarts in the car. Then, I changed my mind and decided to bring him another day so this was such a last minute and quickie one!
All I could think of was a smiley flower and doggie & cat to spruce it up so it doesn't become overly 'girlie'! Keke!

Bento #20 - Cow
Steamed cake from Breadtalk (very yummy esp the green tea ones!) with cow cute details cut out from ham, cheese and seaweed, flower-shaped papaya, blueberries and mangosteen (see how fast it oxidised? I did not keep it cold enough.)Since Kimi is so in love with cows now. That's the theme for today's brekkie. Yes, it is steamed cake again cos that's all Kimi wants to eat these days - cake, cake & cake! *faint!*
Well, as long as he eats rather than not touch at all ya? :)
