Cycle of Life

Almost every evening I will see this family of 2 daughters and 1 son pushing their mom on a wheelchair on the opposite side of the road.

Whenever we approach each other, I can't help but feel how life moves in circles. Here, I was pushing Kimi in his stroller and there she was this old lady sitting in her wheelchair with her filial children pushing her for an evening walk and explaining things along the way. It is exactly what we do for our kids. Pushing them around in their strollers, talking, explaining the things we see as we pass a tree, a bird or a car.

But, alas, how many would bring their aged parents out for leisurely walks even if they become invalid? I hardly think so. It is indeed sad.

Now, this once frail old lady that could only sit in her wheelchair last year, can now walk with the aid of her 3 children for almost 100m. It is really a feat!

Well, some food for thoughts for you!
